MSA SETTLEMENTS, Inc. is a company that needed to be. Thirty-seven years after the first significant governmental direction, Medicare Set Asides has evolved into an enterprise that demands quality professionalism, consistent credibility, and efficient timely work product. MSA SETTLEMENTS was created to fill that now clearly identified need. Comprised of professionals with decades of hands-on experience dealing with the numerous iterations of CMS policy directives, rules, regulations, and requirements – indeed, with direct input in the development of many of them – MSA SETTLEMENTS was organized and formed to provide the tools and services necessary for the next generation of Medicare Set Asides.

The principal architect of our Reports and core services is Karen Cofield, RN, CCM, QRP, MSCC, CMSP, a NAMSAP Member, and with direct experience in the Workers Comp field with Fireman’s Fund, Liberty Mutual and others. With over 25 years of experience with Medicare Set Asides, Karen has worked with attorneys, case managers, adjusters, and regulators to define and refine the necessary reporting and administration and the MSA’s themselves. In recent years, she provided the logic for and worked closely with Fluent to develop the propriety software that enables MSA SETTLEMENTS’ efficient, timely and cost-saving analytics and Reports.
